Ukraine has received from the EU money for border management.
The European Commission (EC) will provide Ukraine the fourth tranche of 8.55 million euro in the framework of the program “Support for sectoral policies in the management of the state border of Ukraine.”
With this program in support of sectoral policies the EU is contributing to the modernization of the State Border Service and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, noted in the representation of the EU.
The program also supports the efforts of the Ukrainian government to achieve an effective balance between border security and the legitimate movement of people and goods in accordance with the standards and best practices of the EU.
Sector Policy Support Programm with a budget of 60 million euro, helping in the implementation of the commitments undertaken by the Ukrainian government in the framework of the Association Agreement with the EU. The program supports the implementation of activities related to the integrated management of borders and demarcation, promotes exchanges of information with partner services of neighboring countries. The program also supports the introduction of measures to promote trade facilitation.
