“Fitch expects the new Ukrainian government, whose election helped to overcome the political crisis in the country will return to the reform plan, which will provide the third tranche from the IMF in the amount of $ 1.7 billion at the beginning of the third quarter of the year.
In addition, Fitch expects that the growth of foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine for the year could reach $ 17.7 billion. As before, the key to this growth is the recovery of the Ukrainian economy financing from the International Monetary Fund.
Recall, the EFF program – using the Extended Fund – was approved in March 2015. The first two tranches totaling $ 6.7 billion, Ukraine received in March and in July last year. The third tranche in the amount of $ 1.7 billion. Ukraine is expected to receive in the fall of 2015, however, a number of reasons, mostly political wing, the decision on the allocation of the money has not been accepted.
